Karastergiou P. Bros S.A. was founded in 1986 with its current form, however, its founder was dealing with fruits & vegetables wholesale trade since 1964.
At first, the company’s main activity was to supply Kozani’s local market with fruits & vegetables from all over Greece. Since 1994, the company inaugurated its own refrigerated facility in Kozani, and it did not stop evolving ever since.
During the past decade, we at Karastergiou Bros have laid the foundation in order to focus in exporting high quality Greek produce, expanding our storage capacity and renewing our refrigerating and sorting equipment with state of the art units.
Karastergiou Bros was always known as an established pear supplier, while volumes of apricots, plums and mandarins are increasing every season.

Infrastructure
Karastergiou Bros is located in Kozani, in a strategic location which enables it to be in 2-hour drive distance from the cultivation areas of our fruits.
The packing house is in the heart of the city’s industrial area, inside a 17.000 m2 property, 3.000 m2 of which is covered, with almost 2.000 m2 refrigerated. Our 8 chambers are equipped with state-of-the-art cooling units, while 3 of them can support ULO (Ultra low oxygen) conditions, 1 is used for pre-cooling and another is used for degreening of citrus fruits.
The packing house is equipped with 2 sorting lines, 1 for stone fruits and another one for citrus fruits, with the capacity of 40 tonnes/hour.

Karastergiou Bros is well-known for the quality of its products, working closely with its team of producers all year round, in order to ensure the highest possible quality of the fruits.
In the meantime, the company implements the strict protocol of ISO 22000:2018 in all its operations and procedures, while more certifications follow soon therefore our clients and eventually the consumer, will be reassured that our products are treated safely.
